ECO
⚠ Early prototype — this is a rough early build, still far from finished. A lot is going to change (level design, feedback, polish, balancing...). Feedback is very welcome!
Everything you do, an echo repeats it eight seconds later.
It walks where you walked, jumps where you jumped, stops where you stopped.
It won't listen to you. It is you.
And you'll need it. Some doors take two people to open. Some pressure plates have to stay held down while you run ahead. Some lasers never turn off, unless someone stands in the beam for you. That someone is you, eight seconds ago.
Every puzzle comes down to this: what you do right now is what saves you eight seconds from now.
25 levels. No tutorial, no hints, nothing explained past the first sentence. You are subject 001 of a protocol that tells you nothing, and the apparatus is counting your failures.
Build your own tests
ECO ships with a full level editor: platforms, pressure plates, levers, lasers, moving platforms, portals — everything the campaign uses, in your hands. It unlocks when you beat the game. Too impatient? The Editor version below (Windows / Linux / macOS) skips the campaign and opens straight into the workshop.
And your tests don't have to stay on your machine: publish your levels online, play what other subjects have built, and upvote the ones that deserve it — two feeds, top rated and newest. One rule: you must beat your own level before you can publish it. The apparatus does not distribute impossible tests.
What you should know
- English and French, selectable in the options
- The level editor unlocks when you beat the game — or grab the standalone Editor version below
- Community levels: publish yours, play everyone else's, vote
- A full run takes about an hour

The editor has wrong spaced font for Steam Deck resolution.
Good catch! Not the font, I just had two texts overlapping at the same spot in the Editor build. Fixed, new build is up on itch. Let me know if it looks right on your Deck now, thanks for testing!
Checked, it works, thanks.
Can also put the default levels on Standalone version?
just pushed an update that does exactly that - the downloadable builds now have everything: full campaign + editor + community levels. and the editor is unlocked from the start now. thanks for testing!
Insane game i enjoy every seconds of it !
